Suresh Naik, a 62-year-old farmer from Nizamabad, Telangana, never imagined that a minor heel crack could be turned into<\/strong> a life-threatening condition. Although he had been living with diabetes for several years, what seemed like a small wound was quickly worsened<\/strong> \u2014 and eventually, was diagnosed as<\/strong> gangrene<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How a Simple Wound Became Gangrene<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It all began with a small crack on Suresh\u2019s heel. Initially, it was seen as<\/strong> a common skin injury. However, due to uncontrolled blood sugar levels, the wound was not healed<\/strong> properly. As a result<\/strong>, within days, the area became darkened<\/strong>, painful, and started emitting a foul smell. The infection was allowed to spread<\/strong>, making it difficult for Suresh to walk, stand, or sleep comfortably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, when he visited a local hospital, gas gangrene was diagnosed<\/strong> \u2014 a dangerous and fast-spreading infection. Amputation<\/a> was strongly advised<\/strong> to stop the progression, leaving Suresh and his family heartbroken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
